Nice easy job to do, even with my big hands! Once you have disconnected the power blocks, they literally then just pop out of the reservoir.

Not too much of an update but I decided to upgrade the dated yellow lights throughout the car  . Usual company whilst working on the Z  .

That's my thoughts, I'm tempted to try and remove the paint just to even the looks out. Do you know if they are easy to remove?

A couple of my parking sensors have started to flake, leaving them black rather then gunmetal. has anyone suffered the same problem? Can these be touched up with paint or will it effect the sensor?

Ok so I found out why my rear washer jet wasn't working...

The pump has completely burnt out!!

No I ordered a new one, intending to swap the working old front with the rear and using the new one for the front, only to realise the spade connectors are in a different orientation..Fail!

It's certainly taken a few details to get it up to scratch! The paintwork was a right mess when I picked her up! Always a please to clean though  .

Spent a few hours cleaning the car Sunday, definitly warranted a picture  .

Spotted a rather nice lemans blue 370z parked outside Clifford Thames and the TA center this morning. 

I have for sale the standard Bose system. Everything apart from the AMP. I bought this to upgrade my standard system only to realise it already had it installed  . I never actually realised the Bose SUB was behind the drivers seat..

Just want my money back on it..

Apologies to jump on the thread but glad to see the problem has been cured! 

Question regarding the banana arms (compression rods) , is it generally the bushes that fail in these or is more catastrophic? 

So I finally got my hands on a Z! I was split between one and a focus rs mk1 about 6 years ago and now I have the chance to experience both!

So I got this (SM06 WEW) for just over £6500 with 66k on the clock all the way from Bedford, a 2006 plate GT in Gunmetal Grey. Body work seems very good for it's age! Apart from being covered in tree sap which is a work in progress!

Upon getting home I was greeted with a cabin full of smoke and oil pouring out of her! Failed gaskets that had been previously botched! £300 later all good!

The car has the clicky rear axle, whiny wheel bearings, corroded alloys and now an annoying knock front the front which sounds like warn out bushes. So yes I have quite a project on my hands lol...

The car is 90% standard...for now..  . It does have a scorpion mid section and back box due to the original failing and a kenwood touchscreen stereo.

Anyway a few pictures!

In all honesty don't worry. Just enjoy it and worry afterwards should anything happen. I've always been told they are solid cars! The majority of issues you'd expect with a car reaching 10 years  .

I've had my DE Z for 2 months now and so far it's had every problem on the list happen to it. I tend to just turn the stereo up now so I can't hear any problems but even that isn't very loud now  .

I really struggled with diluted ipa.

The work seems to have payed off though. The beading on the roof is looking pretty glorious this morning  .

3 weeks in and I'm loving it  .

My old Mk1 FRS with hybrid turbo setup. From memory it was running around 350  .

Haha no don't worry, definitely not in that order  .

It's a long process but I'm applying IPA to a panel at a time, I wish I discovered it's uses sooner  .

I'll look into the Tardis product you mentioned  .

I took a deep breath and IPA'd the whole bonnet. It's removed all contaminants and tree sap!  Then clean, waxed and polished! Only done the bonnet as it was taking forever but the results speak for themselves  .
