  1. Thanks for the quick replys! Well I don't track the car or anything so if I am going to spend a chunk of cash on coilovers, I want to make sure if I wanted it low, I could make it low if ya see what I mean, it's the only reason for me buying coilovers is too drop is as much as poss, any idea where I can find some pics of these fitted? I searched the whole of google I

Images lol cheers, also would they be stiff enough that I couldn't fit my finger between arch and tyre, they wouldn't rub? :-)

    Recipe for disaster there.

Too hard on British roads will kill the coilovers.

  2. My bro has the AEM EMS in his SC'd Celica and is very pleased with it.

That was until his auto box decided to get stroppy and stopped playing with the rest of the car.

Currently transferring everything from the old car to another Celica with a manual box.

He is so impressed by the tuneability of the AEM.

The aem series 2 ems is what i'm fitting so I hope it does what it says. Its not the most expensive on the market but should do what I need it to do

  3. So they're comparing one of the slower vettes vs the GTR?

I just think the GTR is far too clinical, lacks the soul of the bigger vettes.

That and the amount of power vettes can make, I'd still take a vette.

I also like the way some vettes look:

    That is beautiful :cloud9:

  5. Did it ever occur to either of you that the OP PM'd the team explaining his response, and offering his apologies if he came across as hot headed, but that he was simply frustrated that his first thread here got dragged off topic within 3 posts?

Now can we kindly keep this on topic as I have already tried to do once.

If you can't keep to that, I will clean up the entire thread and remove all the banter posts. It's something I would prefer not to do though, as this sit eis well known for its well natured and friendly banter.

He should have apologised to the people he was rude too, not the team

  6. I'm with dblock, the guy got an honest response with a bit of chat/insight to what the zed compares with and what moneys will be spent in the way.

The OP has spat the dummy out now and painted a picture of himself, well done mate! We see people like you everyday.

I never once directed any comment to wards the OP on any disrespective manner but et he feels it's ok to come here as a new member and do it to others  #highfive

  7. The stock system from Y pipe back isnt that restrictive , w ehave seen FI cars with stock rear section flowing 400bhp. If you want a quiet car leave the stock system fitted.

Running HFC's with a good Y pipe and system works and sounds good.

Wassos set up sounds very nice with stock sections

  8. If your cupra is remapped which it should be  it will be faster than a zed. The zed isnt fast. The m3 and boxster S are much quicker. I think test drive one but you will be dissapointed.

Always hating on the z!

+1 I've had no issues on track against m3's and passed plenty as they're very heavy also. A bit of work puts the zed way ahead of competitors as its a very well balanced car to drive. A standard zed is very disappointing and soggy and just boring.

Spend 3-4k on engine mods and suspension and you will break the 300bhp barrier and have a good all rounder.

I've went crazy dropping lots of weight out of mines but it's now costing mega bucks. I'm hoping to drop over 100kg and I will be running 400hp with nos so it should be good fun to drive and much quicker and better handling as the Center of gravity will be lower and top end body weight will be reduced massively.

In terms of making 360bhp you'll be around the 10k mark probably including suspension and a charger

The m3 has between 40 and 60 more bhp though.

In real life it doesn't make a difference. On track the last time I was there, an m3 was on and I passed him on the straight, also a fezza 355, vids are on YouTube. Alot of it is to do with the driver also so remember that. In a drag race with my bro's 911 c4s I was evenly matched to about 135 and then it pushed on ever so slightly.

I know i can push harder than a standard m3 through corners, my speed is faster out the corner. I didn't spend so much money on suspension for no reason.

As said a standard zed is pretty soggy and boring. On track I was evenly matched with a 370z although the extra torque it had was noticeable coming out a corner, on the straights I caught back up easily.
