This item is no longer available!! I have been looking at these before
-
Had another go at this today, and success
Covered the body work with a thick towel, used claw hammer under wiper to lever off spindle, perfect. Moved wiper blade to correct place, reattached and all done in 5 minutes. works perfectly again. Thanks for your help again!!

Tried, this butcant get the wiper off bolt/thread section? Does it need force to get it off? Or should it just slide off easily?
-
Not sure, but think someone as pushed my rear wiper last night. Its now about 8 inches down the window! Bigger problem is that when I tried it the wiper now goes off the window and over the boot Anyone know how I can rectify this?
Thanks in advance.

Much too late now for 5th November, but still time to prepare for New Years eve celebrations (not too long away now) I have a staff bull terrier thats petrified also and shakes every inch from head to toe with the banging. Ive tried many times (stupidly) with the (what is stated as chemicals) DAP Dog Appeasing Pheromone plug ins. Supposedly a smell of the ogs mother that eases/relaxes the dog. I can tell you they dont do much for my dog and at £40 a pop and needing 3 for around the house, its not cost effective. I tried tablets last year and after giving him 1 tablet he was basically motionless for about 10 hours, I thought he was never going to recover. I was very very worried. Called the vet 3 times, only to be told dont worry, give him half a tablet next time. I think not. This year I did the curtains closed, and TV turned up, and he was the best he as been in 10 years. Hopefully this will be the solution at NY.

They dont really do it for me. I also dont think they are driver friendly. I know the zed can be a bit touchy with the rear kicking out, but it does stop before the car is totalled.
My brother had a TVR 350. He bought one of only 2 special race/track cars from Silverstone racetrack. He only had it 3 months before totally wrecking it on the A34
I had another friend which had one. He also smashed it.

How easy are these to fit?
-
Have you tried Admiral?
I'm with them and am paying around £400 (37 years old, 7 years no claims). I've seen a lot of other people on this forum saying they got a good deal from Admiral too.
I`ll give these atry. Thanks

I had my insurance due last week, they asked what alarm I had, I said whatever the factory fitted. They checked and said Thatcham 1 Alarm & Immobiliser.
Thanks.
Its a joke these days. I have been driving 20+ years without making a claim, or a claim against me. 2 years ago I was paying £550. Last year £970. This year I was quoted £2488. I looked around and got a quote for £1466. 1 week later they contacted me to say they had undergone an audit and I was quoted incorrectly. I was a high risk customer and they required another £800 to insure me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly past out. HIGH RISK - what the ****. I have since browsed around and have managed to get it for £1100 with a High performance car insurer, which I have to be happy with. They want all the details on security, including docs for tracker etc.
Man that sucks. I really dont understand where the insurance companies get their figures from sometimes. Its all based upon statistics rather than common sense. Like you, ive been driving well over 20 years without any claims, but, the insurance companies i spoke to only take into account 5 or 6 years NCB. So, they dont give you any extra discount, when clearly 20years with no claims should be a safer risk than 5 years with no claims.
The post code thing makes me laugh too. I currently am the youngest person living in a very quiet cul-de-sac full of old grannies. The road is so quiet you can hear a pin drop and theres never been any trouble or problems here ever. Noone comes in or out of the cul-de-sac without about 40 curtain twitchers making note of their every move. Bizarrely the postcode is a "higher risk" than my last house which was actually on a main road in a busy city where there was trouble nearly every week.
Also the street / drive / garage thing also anoys me. You get cheaper insurance keeping your car on the street where it can be crashed into or damaged by anyone, rather than keeping it locked up in a secure alarmed garage at the end of your drive behind iron security gates with rottweilers wandering around. Mind you, the insurance companies dont count "secure gates" or nasty dogs or anything that as being accepted security.
The majority of companies also dont take into account what car the driver is used to driving. So you could jump from a nissan micra straight to a ferrari and as long as your personal details were the same, be charged the same as someone who has been driving ferraris for 20 years.
And yet, if you get 3 points for doing 1mph over the speed limit, they immediately bang on a 10% increase on the policy.
I really think insurance companies should take into account each policy on an individual basis rather than tar everyone with the same statistics.
I couldnt agree more. On speaking to one insurer Endsleigh (who after a week decided to up the price £800 from the original quote) the guy said i couldnt agree more, insurance companies are cluelesshen pricing drivers like yourself. He then gave me 4 different companies to try, explaining I would get a much better deal, which I did. I would shake his hand if I knew him. He furthermore siad eventually many insurers will go to the wall, the way they are carrying on!!

I wish it was all understandable

Insurers really should know about the Thatcham database! Tell them to look at the website below and enter the Nissan 350Z details:
Cheers mate. They say that about 8 different NATS systems are in place. Apparently they all have a different number ie Nats(10) NATS(30)??
-
Does this mean nobody knows??
-
Just about to renew my insurance and they want to know what type/kind of alarm/immobiliser system it is?? What is the alarm system called and is it Thatcham approved. Its never ending with insurance questions
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry mate, next time I`ll spell your name right ZMZNZLEX (embarrasing )

The Z failed mot due to too much play in the nearside banana bush which was shot. It was recommended that I change both. Also recommended was the back drop links but not a fail.
I only had 2 days to get the parts and then have them fitted. Zmanalex, sorted me with 1 pm, delivered next day at 11am, car into garage at 11.15 and all sorted by 3pm. Happy days again
ZMANALEX......THANKYOU

I had my new slotted discs fitted yesterday, and am more than happy with them. Whilst the guy fitted them he showed me another issue that requires sorting. The banana arm bush is knackered and requires replacing I have read about HorshamDevelopments doing this work and also the 4 wheel alignment, which seems reasonably priced, but its a long way from Bradford, West Yorkshire. Anyone know of another company nearer my neck of the woods that can do this job?

Can I borrow your postcode

This is a great function. I often had to go check the car to see if I`d locked it or not No need anymore, just see if the mirrors are closed, job done
-
Cant see them taking you to court, it costs them more than what your fines are worth. It may have an impact on other areas though, as they are good at getting you on the lists of none payment etc. Has stated, send them the DVLA letter. Why not go and see the chap who bought the car and ask him what hes playing at?

Looking good
We have another addict.
I was always a bit of an addict, but after having the Zed for 7 years now, and watching others here, I thought it time I spent some money and got myself up there.
Complete bargain ipod dock!

Yep as I see here. Easy monies to be made, but I would only buy what I want. Not into or needing to take advantage of making a quick buck, only want 1 for my own use. Hey ho!!
