One thing to keep in mind is the Cinavia DRM system which is embedded in the audio tracks of some new DVDs and BluRays.
If the movie is not being played from its original format then Cinavia enabled streaming devices will halt the playback.
If you're planning on using a PS3 as your streaming device then you'll have to make sure you do not upgrade the system software on it beyond 3.60 and preferably not beyond 3.50. With 3.60 there is a workaround but if you update to 3.61 then there's no known workaround. I'll leave it to your google skills to find any necessary workarounds or you can PM me if you like.

93k and counting.. still on original clutch

Post this exact same request for advice on PistonHeads, leave the jackals to chew on it for a couple of days and then show the thread to your relatives.
Should be a decent dose of cold water and might possibly even drag them back into reality.

Indeed, can't help feeling they've cheated slightly by calling it a Leaf

Also not a fan of the rear bumper and it's a little too low for my taste but it's a nicely presented Z.
Quite fond of that spoiler too, not seen one like it before. Anyone know what it is?

You must be one of the Premium Facebook members that they actually follow around on a 24/7 basis then.
It's the only explanation that makes sense /nod

Just got the K2 on at the moment and would like a bit more noise, luckily I'm booked into Abbey next month for Berks HFCs, XYZ y-pipe, Motordyne plenum spacer and a remap
Should growl a bit more after that.

Superb
Although from the looks of things there are entire colonies of flying insects that now hold an image of your Z to represent the Grim reaper

Right on buddy!

In the motorway section for overtaking the Highway Code says this though:-
Overtaking
267
Do not overtake unless you are sure it is safe and legal to do so. Overtake only on the right.
But that itself is followed by 268, which has this within it:
"In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right."
Indeed.
There's no legal definition of "congested", it could be one car causing congestion by being in the wrong lane. The fact that the Highway Code states you should only overtake on the right does not make it illegal to overtake on the left, just not desirable.
As long as you are not breaking any laws (speeding etc) then passing traffic while driving in the inside lane is not inherently illegal.
-
just came across this!
sitting in lane 3 when there is an empty lane two next to you preventing drivers who want to travel faster than you has also been held to be 'driving without insurance' - as most policies specifically prohibit 'pace-setting'.
That would be a fun one to bring up in court
-
It is my understanding that if a person is using the incorrect lane (middle for example), and you do not exceed the limit, it is perfectly legal to undertake.
/nod
Although you'd have trouble arguing your case if lane 3 was available in this example. If the inside lane is clear and all outside lanes are full of slow morons then you're well within your rights to overtake on the inside.

Sod anyone else's feelings, if they don't have insurance they don't get to drive it. Also, if they drive it and you don't ask for their insurance and they turn out not to be insured, that's 6 pts for you on your licence right there so another reason to ask and check.
+1
It's your car, it's your responsibility to make sure the driver is insured. It's the test pilots responsibility to provide the proof of that insurance.
Make it clear in the ad that they will need to bring the insurance docs if they want to get behind the wheel.

Anyway the new legislation would never remove the option of the individual to exercise their right to a day in court. As for issuing on the spot fine this has been going on for years, seat belt, mobile phone, parking, etc which now include theft, damage and many more minor offences which would otherwise take up valuable court time.
I think as well this is an important point...did someone drive without a seat belt, yes or no? Its a clear cut decision. Parking, were you over the line? Yes or No, clear cut.
Undertaking, some are dangerous and need fining, some are though not so citing the example of a slow mover on the outside lane with two empty lanes inside them.
Stick to the Yes No's for the police, things which are argumentative such as the undertaking example must go to a court, as invariabley most will in any case so we waste more time in the long run. Time spent with the police issuing fines and time wasted in an appeal court will always outweigh the current system in time and cost.

I live on a main road in Zone 2 London, if someone has a 50m+ extension lead I could borrow it might do the trick...

Really just posting so I can find the topic in the near future when I get my own DA

I'd have to say the Camaro
Out of curiosity, which hire company are you using?

I know how you feel. My company's been scrabbling around redistributing global stock to try and stretch out the availability while we wait on our factories to wind back up to speed again.
Rear strut bar Z badge
in Bodywork
Posted
I've finally got round to dismantling the trim on the rear strut bar. I'd like to say it's taken this long because I'm such a busy international playboy but it's really because I'm just plain lazy
Anyhoo, looking at the Z badge fitted on the silver section it looks like it's superglued on. I can probably paint it properly without removing the Z but it'll be a damn sight easier if I can get it off first. My first thought is to cut the 5 glued points out from the back with a modelling knife but does anyone have any handy tricks of the trade before I do my samurai impression on it?
