  1. Keep your wits about you and you will be fine... Or do what I did and go with someone sensible to look after you :lol:

    Im screwed then :lol:

    Just booked 5 nights here B)http://www.phangancottage.com prices go up crazy amounts over fmp dates...

    We stayed next to this place! It was being built at the time so they should be very nice! Make sure you go to the English pub before you head down to the full moon party! Very good food that will set you up for the night/morning! :thumbs:

    Yeah only in bangkok for 3 nights. Then i have booked 4 nights in phuket then 4 nights in Koh Samui and then 5 nights in Koh Phangan......after that its all about winging it and see where our noses take us B)

    We spent a month in total on Koh Samui! Far far too long but we spent 2 weeks there with my brothers for Xmas and new year. Nicky beach is a very cool bar on the south coast. Dr Frogs restaurant done amazing food and we nailed the cocktail menu....that was a good night :teeth: .........I'm going to have a guess that you're staying near Chaweng? That place is mental with 24hr bars! Make sure you keep an eye on the kids walking around at night with games asking to challenge you, one took money from my pocket but I caught him and flipped! They are very good thief's!

    One thing above all that you will never forget.....Sang som buckets!! Woooohmamma! I'll say no more :wacko:

  2. Hey

    New guy here from Queens, NY U.S. Are you willing to ship internationally? If so what would be the price in american dollars and how much would be the shipping cost? Thanks in advanced!

    $1,000,000,000 Mwwwhhahahaha!! :blush: Sorry, couldn't resist that!

    Ermmm, anyone know the ins and outs of international shipping? :shrug:

  3. So i'm leaving the 30th of this month and going on a world tour ending in Aus for a year or so. First stop is Thailand and there's a FMP on the 14th of August :D anyone experienced one before? having a nightmare looking at places to stay :wacko: seems most options are what look like sheds with a fan!

    Ohhhh yes!! Done a pre full moon party and a full moon. :thumbs::thumbs: My girlfriend and I went December 2009. We stayed well away from Haad rin as its pretty dodgy (thief's operate in this area) and accommodation isn't good! You can stay pretty much anywhere on the island and get back and forth. Taxi's are everywhere!

    I will give you a very good bit of advice for when you are partying. When you go to buy your drinks (Buckets) from one of the 10,000 drink huts, get them to give you the bottles and poor it yourself! I caught them swapping a bottle of Bacardi for something else and they are all doing it!! please trust me on this! It spoilt the night when i caught them doing it because I couldnt trust anyone making drinks!

    Its one hell of an experience though!! You will love it! Stay away from the flaming skipping rope too!! Seen some nasty wounds pottering about!

    Thanks for the tips...but i think a flaming rope will be too enticing when im trollyed :lol: :

    Would you suggest staying towards the upper end of the island?

    We stayed in Ban Tai. close to the B52 resort. Cant remember the name of our accommodation.....something bungalows? Wasnt the best but it had a cool bar and it was cheap. It was known for travelers. You have a better chance of getting accommodation up that way and its generally safer. You wont struggle to get transport to and from the FMP. If you are there for a few days, I would recommend you going to a pre full moon party too! We had a better night at the pre!

    This is bringing back so many awesome memories!! I cant believe how utterly mental and incredible the FMP is!! I want to go back!!

    I would also recommend the flaming rope! if i hadn't been with my GF, i would have been all over it! :teeth:

  5. Working up in Sheffield last Friday, popped out of the works van for half an hour, come back and the driver window was smashed. Macbook pro, iPad2, tomtom and a few other little things gone!!!! Because I was in a rental van, my insurance did not cover the contents and I didn't take out extra insurance from the rental company. Oh, and i had to pay for the damage to the van (£600+). Not a good week for me! :rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant:

    Anyone up that way hear anything, I would appreciate any news.

    I have Family in Sheffield mate and will get them to ask a few questions in the area, where abouts in sheff was you working? I went up not long ago and within half an hour i got broke into and the cops didnt want to know. Sorry for your misfortune but all sheffielders aint bad just the scummy druggies

    Thanks Dave mate, I'd appreciate that. It happened on a lane called Lightwood lane, just off Norton Rd. Funny you should say that about the police because just after I phoned them, I asked if they were going to send anyone and they said that it was pointless as there were no witness's or cctv! Good attitude to have!!

    I'm trying my best not to generalise everyone from Sheffield but finding it hard as that was my first visit to Sheffield :lol:

  6. A mistake I have not made twice, my new iPad is the 3G model!! :thumbs:

    So what happen's if the SIM is changed before its powered back on? :snack:

    ........................... :shrug::lol:

    I'm going by the premiss that you can track the iPad whilst its sleeping. If they were clever enough to power it down straight away and have the little tool to get the sim out, then they clearly know what they are doing and there's sweet f a I can do about it. Its a good point and I never thought about that! :wacko:

  7. Are you sure that when you first got your iPad, you did not install a free locator app that Apple suggest? I believe with all recent iPhones & iPads, there is a prompt when you first start it up and connect to the interweb. If you have an itunes account, you may well have set it up without realising. If you have, you can go to me.com and track the ipad to the nearest metre and/or get an app on any other apple device which will do the same. Even if you really don't remember doing it, worth seeing if your itunes/apple account (or one you may have had in the past) works on that site just in case your ipad is on and is sending out signals.

    Also, I think I might be right in saying that in case of it being stolen, you may be able to find out what your MAC number was, etc from Apple if they can in any way track down your purchase (done online or remember where/when?) and because it is 3G enabled, there may possibly be some way to find out where it is even without a SIM? I seem to recall reading about some guy who did just that, knocked on the door of where his iPad was and presented a violent surprise to the dude who opened the door.

    I have checked the locate app and I have sent it a remote wipe but because its the wifi model, it has to be connected to the Internet for me to find it. As it stands, they haven't connected it to the Internet yet. I would know if they had because I would be sent an email. A mistake I have not made twice, my new iPad is the 3G model!! :thumbs:

  8. That's the worst thing, losing pictures etc.

    As I said to you on FB, I hope the thieves next sh1t is a sideways pineapple.

    I have been watching the news Stew to see if there has been any report of anyone passing a pineapple in the Sheffield area! :lol:

  9. You lost all your photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scare::scare::scare::scare::scare::scare::scare::scare:

    @*!# man :( thats not good, i'd feel like i'd lost a limb too :cry:

    You coming to lads night? think i sent you an invite via facebook.

    Yeah trying my best not to think about it now.......my new iMac and 3G ipad is cushioning the blow ever so slightly... :lol:

    Sorry John buddy, I swear i replied to your message!! I'm going to Greece on Sunday for my mates wedding (bell end) so i wont be back until the 3rd :( Anyways, hopefully i'll attend the next one with a golf GTI rather than a sh**ty polo! :teeth:

  10. i lived with a scum ***** in my 2nd year of uni, he was an irish bloke; real nasty piece of work as well; and an avid UFF supporter (ulster freedom fighters) he was arrested when he lived with us for a short time, for breaking into a womans car and stealing her hand bag, when i asked him why he did it, he said it was her fault for leaving it out and was fair game as far as he was concerned. i did try and expalin to him that both the bag and her vehicle where her property and that should she not be allowed to leave her own property in her own car? his short reply was... No.

    i am pleased to say though that i did kick the crap out of him when he tried to sexually assault one of the girls in the house. :blush: the police let me off with a warning :innocent:

    :#1::#1::#1:

  11. Well I'm all for the cutting off of thief's hands! Will put an end to it wouldn't it! :rant:

    +1 on if you steal something then you loose a hand....... trouble is the honest tax payer would just end up paying more for handless scum to watch sky all day :rant:

    I'd be happy to contribute to something that would keep these f**k bags off the streets. If that means they get to sit in front of the box and watch Jeremy kyle all day, so be it! At least I wouldnt have to worry about my stuff being robbed!

  12. Well I'm all for the cutting off of thief's hands! Will put an end to it wouldn't it! :rant:

    That's a good point Rich, You shouldn't have to worry about leaving things in your car! What a pathetic society we live in. Really winds me up!

    Doogy, I wish i had thought of that a week ago! :doh:

    Knobglassing!?? :lol::lol:

  14. I can't quite tell the extent of the damage from the picture but if it's no worse than a bad curb scrape it shouldn't cost anywhere near any quote you have had!

    A local garage damaged my GTR alloys really badly when changing the tires. I took the two of them to a garage in London (where my brother has his wheels refurbed) and they where unreal! Amazing job and it cost me £55 per wheel. The color on the GTR's are quite a hard one to match too!

    If you are interested in this garage, let me know and I'll get the details for you :thumbs:
