  1. Bit of metal plate? I didnt have to remove anything to get my K1 on. I'm assuming you mean the heat shield though?

Not sure about it bein wonky though, mine and nurrish's are pretty straight, maybe you have a bad one?

ha, you probs didnt have to remove this metal plate, my bolts were rusted to hell so had to remove it to get a grinder in place. if its anything like my fezza, it was just to keep the exhaust up if it fell off. but im no expert so thot i would ask. well, i bot it off someone on the forum, the car that had the nissbn number plate. it was straight on his, i just thot maybe id fitted it wrong. im going to run it into an exhaust centre tomorro, they probs have mad skills in gettin em straight, just thot you guys might have the answer.

  2. recently purchased a K1 off the forum. fitting it to standard y pipe for now. took ages to get the old one off, hacking off old bolts and having to dril them out. but now i cant get the k1 to sit straight. it hands lower on the right. looks poo. i think its the twist in the long pipe before the two bolt in tips, pushing the left side up. because it doesnt seem to be hanging on the rubber on the left.

anybody else had any probs? maybe they have some fixing tecniques?

also, bit metal plate that goes across bottom of car, had to take it off to get at bolts etc. now its a pain to get on with the K1. is it structural? does it provide any strength? contemplating leaving it off, would this be bad?

    thanks in advance.

sounds awesome tho, not too loud at all........ dont know what the fuss is about haha

  3. plus you get one last blast in your old girl ;)

exactly! i travelled from scotland to london one weekend to find a car i ddnt want, then from scotland to derby the very next weekend to find the car i bought.

best part was the last little blast in my fezza ST. soon forgot about it on the blast home in the Zed tho!

deffo worth travelling. for both weekends i covered about 1000 miles and it only cost me about 80-90 quid.

  4. aye, bth are nippy cars. but then again, theres not reeeealy that much seperating the 0-60 times to be fair, thats all down to your driving ability and how good your starts are. its on the longer stretches and higher speeds that you'll really pull away.

  5. haha, is ridiculously loud a better way of putting it? skull crushing??

ha, my fezza ST used to be so loud i couldnt take it up my privvate road at night.... it was a really steep single track hill like. couldnt park it in my GF's street.... It did have a 4-2-1 branch performance manifold and straight through de-cated system. Used to spit flames also. Very hard to live with bt soooo fun at same time

i had a EP3 civic type-r with full manifold , de-cat and straight through exhaust and it isnt as loud as that.

its a loud good if that makes sense :)

just to clarify ha, its not as loud as your decated civic? or its louder? ha. im probs reading that stupid.

well, i am looking forward to getting it like. get that k2 ordered up pronto :p

  7. Ow c'mon...common sense should be applied at these things.

For £25 they offer "miraculous" results, yet tuning garages take time and money to achieve real results.

If these gadgets actually worked, then alot of businesses would be out of business...

Rubbish, there are 2 reasons they are so cheap:

    1. They sell millions of these so can buy in bulk where as a tuning garage only gets a few customers a week

    2. The designer obviously has a love for cars and is helping out the people who feel the same by not giving it a ridiculous RRP tag.

As givememorepower says, he has 4 and is running over 400whp!!!!!! I bet its not too good on fuel but the figures are the proof!

My funds can only stretch to one at the minute but I'll get my car dynoed and show you. Only problem is I have added a roof scoop and sideskirts since then so you'll have to take off the 15bhp that they have added off my final result. :drive1

  8. netgear all the way. never had a problem with them now. have quite a few on the go in various places. As long as you'v got the username and password your service provider gave you, its a very simple set up.

need the ocasional reset but part from that...... perfect

  9. Hi,

i've been having problems with my 5th gear. grinding going in from 4th or 6th. A few of you suggested it could be the synchromesh. How do i go about fixing that? any ideas? what parts i need, costs etc?

any input would be apreciated as its really getting annoying now.

    Thanks in advance

    £1300

    mum and dad on policy

    pretty good price bud

depends on alot of things i guess, milage, excess, I live in a place with 0 crime rate in god knows how many years. Mum brought it down 200 i think. dad aboout 100. Cheaper if its on your drive than a locked garage

all i know is, im dam lucky to be able to insure a Zed at 20 :drive1

  11. hmmm. i hope its nowt serious. its not done it since. will keep fingers crossed that it was just me doing something incredibly dumb. and if it happens again i may try and swindle it on this extended warranty i aparently have. will just have to wait and see.

if not, i will hit you guys with some info on the parts i need =)

did it happen when it was raining or just after wet weather. if so then my guess is defo the ballast and igniters. seems to be when they play up.

    nope :headhurt:

was actually quite the oposite. A very nice sunny day and a very warm night.

    darnit

  13. Hi,

had my Zed a few days now. and does anybody else really hate that when they go to dip the beams or indicate they end up turning the lights off??? No? Just me?

Had a scary moment t'other night when i turned them off dipping the beams going round a country bend!!! worst thing is, i flicked them back on and nothing happend!! So i franticaly wiggled the stork and hit full beam and they worked, but when i switched them to dipped again, they went completly off? after a few turning them off and on, they sparked into life....

and again in tescos car park the other night, turned them off by mistake indicating and when i turned them back on, only the drivers side lit up. until i turned them on and off again. haha

is this just a stupid thing with xenons where you cant quickly turn them off and on because of the way they ignite or are mine just dodgy.

since then i have learnt how to dip without turning them off, thankfully. But what if i do it again??? :surrender:
