I've also got a very similar issue on my zed .. I've changed the fuel pressure regulator (the one under the plenum) but it's had no effect...

Did you get this issue resolved then?

Hahaha .. I actually felt more awake on the return journey ...

Probably because I was having to be extra cautious while driving due to being partially blinded ...

If you're going to hack into the Dome light wires be careful as I remember Husky mentioning that they're connected to the BCM.

I think this is probably the cause of my noisey engine as well ..

I currently have the same problem ... I replaced the Non-Return valve about a month ago and they were working perfectly unitl this week!

I'm going to try replacing the valve again and drain the fluid as I think there maybe something in the fluid which is causing it to block up ...

I have a similar issue but mine does sound like it's comming from the inside the car...

Mine does the same, I just had my clutch and flywheel changed (not to try and fix this, just because they needed doing) and it's made no difference, so it's not either of those.

 

I find the most annoying bit is when people point it out to you "mate your car sounds like it needs an oil change" "Nope, it's not that the oil was changed a 100 miles ago"

Don't worry mate I know the feeling ... I've had friends say the similar things about my Zed ...

I really want to get it sorted but not at a ridiculously high price!

Yours sounds exactly the same as mine. I'm tempted to get a garage to look at it, but I'm guessing they'd have to strip the head... so $£€

Mine sounds like that. I read around about it when I 1st bought the car but I think its normal. I found alot of stuff about fuel lines etc as well but all the stuff I read seemed to indicate that it is not an issue apart from the noise being abit annoying. Out of interest what happens when you push the clutch in? does it get quieter?

It's really annoying as the noise only started happening around 8-9 months ago ... It doesn't get any quieter with the clutch in, which leads me to believe it's not clutch or Flywheel related ...

I'm still having issues with the ticking/tappety sound coming from the engine and was wondering what would be the best way to have it diagnosed/rectified ...

Has anyone else had a similar problem and had any success in resolving it?

Looks like another quality job!

I removed my indicators when I cleared the rear fog light ..

You'll need to drop the rear bumper slightly to get enough access to remove them ...
