  1. Keep away from me if this is what you do in your dream car

You misunderstand. What I mean is owning a previously totalled GTR is probably the only way I'll ever own one as it might bring it into an affordable area. ;)

I could always park it on my drive way nose in so all that can be seen is the bum

  2. My dream money-no-object car . . .

Had a driving experience in one of these a couple of months ago & well . . . Wow. Screw ya Zondas & Lambo's, give me this any day :D

Dream car that I ever have a chance of owning? . . .

    :D

  3. F*****************ck! I just got me MOT done the other week & didn't know about this. Hmm, the bloke who actually done it used to work from the local Nissan dealership. How does it mess it up exactly?

  4. From the look of the skateboard video, he falls, legs split and his board flicks up, he falls onto it snapping his board due to the force of it hitting his 'smelly bridge' area. :headhurt:

Makes me glad I snowboard, feet are strapped to the board!

I duuno like. There's a program on MTV called scarred, I saw one 'story' where a snowboarder was trying a stunt out (Sliding down some snowed over steps, then jumping onto a railing at the bottom then hopping off that onto the grassy field below) & it went rather wrong. He hopped up towards the railing but somehow his legs & board got tangled up in the railings & one of his shins decided to disintegrate into two halfs & he was bent over the railing, kissing his toes . . . Not even Boy George can make a man scream like that . . .

  5. Looks a fabulous experience but over all to soon. The acceleration of the GTR is very impressive, want one.

Me too lol. As in, I've been window shopping! Think it'll be a hell of an upgrade!

I think I'd save up for one though, don't fancy being in debt with those servicing costs :S

  6. Cheers mab, I was a bit . . . apprehensive when I was queuing up & getting in . . .& half way round the first lap lol. I think after another lap or two I could of pushed it a lot harder :)

Easiest way to answer the pricing questions :D

They do let you hoof it but are more than quickly onto you when a corner's coming up to 'remind' you to slow down early enough.

I can only speculate as to why they told us to overtake on the right. I'd imagine as all but one of the turns is a right turn, it'd be easier to pass as you exit a corner on the inside (As I did past the Lambo & Aston), but I am just guessing.

That's what I've heard Roo, there's so much computer gizmo's in the GTR, it pretty much drives for you! Apparently the Lambo's brakes are a lot sharper (?). All I know is, I love Jap cars so the GTR was the ONLY option

Was surprised to hear that they're just a 3.8TT! I thought it was more like a 5 litre lol!

  7. The missus bought me a 'day out in a supercar' thing for my birthday a couple of years ago. Only last weekend did I finally get the chance to do it due to work commitments.

The day was held at Prestwold hall, Leicestershire with Everyman racing. She didn't know which car to go for so paid a bit more & gave me the choice. I logged onto the website to redeem the voucher, aiming away from the more fancier Ferrari's & Lambo's & aim towards the Audi R8. I look down the list of cars - & there it was, the Nissan GTR . . . Didn't even look further down the list!

Anyhoo, enough of my tripe. Here's the video & pics!

Me, waiting patiently for someone to notice that I'm next in que & get me in that GTR!!!

Video of the drive. Please bear in mind this was my first time on a track, let alone in such a prestigious car! I thought I did ok. My main aim was to overtake a Lambo lol.

The missus decided whilst we were there that she wanted to go on a passenger ride with the stig in a Dodge Viper lol

A bloody amazing day. Quite costly but the rush of that car is incredible, I'm going to start saving now :D

  8. Okay, cheers chaps.

I did try & source some part worn tyres but told they were illegal (?!).

Still torn whether to actually sell her or not. I've always loved Z's & mine's awesome, just finding it hard to justify keeping it when I don't seem to use it that much any more. :(

  9. I apologise if this is in the wrong section, I didn't see the need in putting it in the for sale section as I'm only thinking of selling up but don't really know how much my Z's worth!

    2002 JDM PPW Fairlady Z,

    54,000 miles,

    Black leather interior,

Heated/electric seats, air-con all the usual stuff,

    Generally good condition,

New battery & large connectors recently fitted,

Toad Ai606 alarm system with Tracker Monitor,

    HKS induction kit,

20" Finichi Rimini deep dish alloy wheels (These are pretty much new & have loads of tread left),

    AUDT PPW eyelids,

Stock Nissan wheels also but they need new rubber.

Former owner imported it in 2006, since then he serviced it himself until I purchased it off him in 2009. Always been looked after, paintwork's good apart from a scratch on the rear bumper which should be repaired by the time I'd sell anyway but it's always worth mentioning.

I've never ragged this car, I don't think I've let the rev light flicker any more than once lol.

Reason for possible sale is that I just don't drive it enough to warrant the cost of the insurance, which for someone my age (25) is pretty hefty lol.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  10. Finally! It's done . . .

Due to poor organisation, the event was changed somewhat. We collectively cycled over twice what we had originally stated (As a group, we cycled over 1,200 miles). One lad even done a 100 mile cycle! I was going to cycle it with him, but after 35 miles, my chain snapped. After 20 minutes of attempting to fix it, I'm ashamed to say I had to get on the safety wagon :dummy:

It then took an extra 2 hours to fix other problems with my bike!

Got to the last 10 miles today & the chain snapped again on the final hill . . .

So after well over 1,000 miles of training & 300 miles of the actual event, we've done it. . .

A massive thank you to everyone who donated &/or sponsored me. I'd also like to thank the mods for making this thread a sticky.

It's still early days & all the cash from collections we were doing during the week also has yet to be collected but at present, we've raised over £7,000 for the 4 charities!!

Thanks again, I'm now off to consume a well earned Chinky methinks!

  11. Thanks guys! :)

Millzz the Bloomin onion is an appetiser from Outback Steakhouse as Neo quite rightly pointed out. There are quite a few about as its a franchise. They are frikkin awwesome! I am trying to master the production of them here.

If you are heading to states I would worry about trying to find good food..... :yahoo:

    Cheers bud (& Neo ;))

As I said, I'm off to Florida in September, these pics have just made me look forward to it even more!!!

It's a big family holiday (as in my Nan's also coming lol) so no mustang rental for me unfortunately . . . Soccer mom's minivan ftw :rant::blush:
