  1. haha, trust me, with 9 years expeience with jaguar and owning a ford, i would 100% say that the mondeo is a better car, the rear suspension on the xtype is useless, the mondeo is simple and ive had no faults with mine. the 2.0 diesel jag is a 5 speed gearbox, the mondeo is a 6 speed box, so better economy.
  2. reading through this i spotted someone mentioning a 2.2l x-type jaguar......well im a jaguar tech of 9 years, you will only get 40mpg, so i wouldnt....i have now joined a ford dealership, and at the moment own a 2.0l mondeo TDCI, i have decated this, and got a tuning box on it, i was travelling form stoke to derby, and on a good day i got 70mpg, but on average i would get 62mpg, i have moved jobs closer to home so dont need the diesel, but in stop start traffic im gettin 48mpg. dont get a jag, get a ford, same engine, same gearbox.....also mine is for sale.
  3. almost got one............almost, just need to finalise financial side. grey, 24,000, FSH, 18" alloys, black leather seats, electric and heated seats, bose system, pretty good spec....12K, a good price? its from dealership and thats with 1 year warrenty, 6 months tax, serviced today with new brakes. advice please?
  4. well i do motorway driving, but at some points im in traffic, so around 90 quid is only a 30 quid increase on what i spend now. thanks for the quick replies.
  5. i could work this out, but the figures released for fuel consumption are never right. so i want your opinions on a realistic cost of fuel. my daily drive is slow moving traffic for about half of my 8 mile trip to work each day, so 16 miles a day is what i do for 5 days a week, roughly what would be the cost of fuel for my monthly trip to work? may be hard to judge, but dont know what these cars are like with fuel as i have not got one yet. thanks for any help.
  6. good idea, although my bank, lloyds tsb's APR is about 17%, im a home owner, 25 years old, so my credit rating is very good. anyone know of special offers from banks for low APR? the advice im getting is brilliant, and i appreciate the help. thanks
  7. ive checked, but unfortuantly finance is my only option.
  8. well i registerd a while back, cant remember if i posted, but if not this would be my first. anyway, ive always loved the 350Z, and now got to an age where i can afford one, being a 25 year old im very serious about getting one. went to look at one today, 54 reg, 24000 miles, FSH, grey, heated and electric black leather seats, BOSE system, xenon lights, headlamp powerwash, £12000. a good spec from what i can see, would have to go on finance to get one, which isnt an issue, cant wait to get one, but i do think this is a little over budget, and i think i can get one cheaper than that, its just waiting for one to come along.
