  1. Great cars, I test drove one before the M and was really impressed, my only issue as I found the flappy paddles a bit slow to respond. Im sure there is a setting somewhere for them though. Brilliant replacement for the Z, just promise you wont tart it up with fake msport tat, keep it a Q car :D

  3. Finally got my SV chuffed!!

Great condition given the age, stripped off all the fairings and gave her a clean and fixed the broken horn while I was in there. While I had the cleaning gear out I gave the car a once over too.

I think they will get on pretty well.

  4. I have been watching this as well it's superb. It really gives an insite into what is going on over there, I really don't envy them it looks like a terrifying job. Total respect for these boys/girls.

  5. A wise man on here (zmanalex) once told me "buy factory fast" and I totally agree. Supercharging is fine but can also become a money pit, especially if you get problems. So IMO if you want your car to go faster then buy a faster car.

  6. Ross, when you coming out to play? I can pop round this week on the bike to see you sit on yours with all the gear on!:lol:

I wear kevlar jeans all the time now, I find them comfy and you don't look like a total tool when you're in town for something!

  7. Spend the money on a weeks holiday or something, don't start modding, first its one thing then the other until you have spent a bucket load of cash on mods that you will never get your cash back on, that you will either have to sell with the car for no extra or strip down and sell for peanuts when you come to sell her.....or you could put the cash towards a decent set of rims :teeth:

wow, bet you are like scrooge at christmas. you adopt the attitude of don't eat nice food cos ya only gonna @*!# it out too???

in answer to the op's question

if you have looked at everything on the forum then pick something you really like the look or idea of. you mind set on styling or would performance mods be a worthy suggestion?

Haha, didn't pick up the subtle sarcasm then.

  8. I would go for the 1M any day of the week, super quick, seriously tunable with its twin turbos, m devision handling and only a handful are being sold in the uk so their value will hold really well and will probably rise as they become rarer.

    R

How did we know you'd say that :p:lol:

Haha, not that i have an M fetish or anything, just makes sense you could probably get the 1m over the 400 bhp mark with a simple remap...weapon!

  11. Nice car biscuit, must be a far nicer place to sit rather than being surrounded by jap plastic...you need to ditch that wood though your not quite zimmer age yet :D

    8 cylinders .... is that all ? :p

It's what you do with them that counts :D

  12. Well did my CBT yesterday and got me certificate! woo hoo!! I have to say though if anyone is planning to do their direct access I seriously recommend doing the CBT separately before you book it. It gives you a feel for riding without paying £500 for the full DA. I was there with a lass who was absolutely shocking and she wasn't even allowed on the road, so would have been a total waste of cash.

This was the first time on a bike for me and I loved it! I was seriously daunting going out on the road, you don't realise how venerable you are until you are next to a lorry or bus. Didn't get up much past 50 mph as it was a 125 but bloody hell did 50 feel fast haha. I kept leaving my indicators on to start but stopped after about the 100th telling off, I also dumped the clutch at a box junction and almost wheelied through it haha! Scary but i'm buzzing about doing my DA now, which I will book once I have the feeling back in my arms.
