Right, I cracked on today and it took me a little over 5 hours to get the job done. The clay method that I'd never heard of is awesome. Unbelievable that it would take so much junk off my paintwork. Not sure even now what all those thousands of tiny dark dots were, but reckon now they could've been tarmac as a lot of road surfacing has gone on around here for months now. Not a single scratch or mark left from the cleaning!!!

Started with a rigorous wash and wax with a firm sponge, than the painstaking hours of clay block and spray, then a very healthy layer of liquid wax.

It's never looked so good Until it rained this afternoon and my car got sprayed with dirt. The water droplets were rolling off like small ball bearings!

I went to Halfords and bought a Maguire (or something) clay set. I nearly had an accident in my Y-fronts when I saw the price of my 'extravagant mud set with enclosed dish cloth'.

For the past two days it's rained relentlessly so waiting for the dry weather, so I can go molest my bodywork with my posh new polishing turd!

I have my new wheels fitted and they look mint. I do agree that the car does feel a little different to drive though Now though I may end up avoiding those extra points and keeping my lisence.

Someone on here posted regarding an absolutely horrendously boy racer ruined car, must have previously been smeared in epoxy resin and crashed into halfords, and this still tickles me when I see those nasty corsas with silly high spoilers etc! THey certainly sell some shite in there
