Yeh, it's tough guys.... I am addicted to autotrader and pistonheads and the forums.... .I check about 4 times a day

I want it to look like this:

I have bought all the NISMO bits... which I thought would be the hard bit locating official bits.

Ever since I test drove a zed (276bhp) in October, I have been convinced to spend my hard earned cash on one for my 21st birthday in May. However, I am after a red one with GT pack....which seems to be impossible to find!!!

I am wondering whether to just settle for a blue? Or would I be likely to find a ~2006 350Z GT for less than £15,000 by May the 20th?

I have already bought most of the toys for it (Official NISMO parts):

I turn 21 on the 20th of May and cannot wait to get out of this car (Golf)...insurance has given me the thumbs up!

So... do I hold out and pray for a red one even if it isn't a facelift (has to have the GT pack though)? or do I just get an Azure and nismo it up??

I saw a 370z on the way to work. I wondered if it was just a major bodykit.... got closer and managed to overtake it to have a look. It was definately a 370z and it had an 08 plate on it.

I am so tempted, but then again....that's still £400+ a rim

Is there any alternatives to these wheels? I am very picky and want something similar on my zed

I haven't got my 350z yet, but I feel in love with the LMGT4 wheels and was prepared to pay £1500 for a set....but more than that is a bit silly really.

I am really depressed that they have gone up so much, as they are the only wheels that I really really really really REALLY like on the Z (as I just bought a nismo kit to go with them on a red zed)

I haven't got one just yet, hence the test drive! I work over in Bicester, but I used to work in Witney....I saw a grey zed at Bicester train station once....but they aren't very common in our area!

As soon as I get my zed we should have a local meet or something

I test drove a zed up their recently as it's down the road from me, not seen your car around here Neil.... you will have to blast through Woodstock and I will keep an ear out for you!

I too would like to know how much the Nismo style side skirts are?

I spent the last few evening trying to find a photo of what I hope to achieve by modding the car......this is how I want mine to look (with carbon B pillars)

Is it wrong to dream of having a car like that? I have had two views from people at work....one chap thinks it's "boy racer" and my female manager thinks its lovely!

Ok, I am allowed to store it in the warehouse till I need it (gotta get myself a 350z at some point....!)

Few newbie questions for you, please don't take offence!

1.) How do I tell if it's official nismo

2.) What is the difference between nismo and replica (rep's are heavier?)

3.) I presume this is a decent price for the kit?

4.) I haven't got a 350z yet, but I won't struggle to fit it on different models (say 03 plate compared with an 05 plate?)

5.) Are you a trader or something? Like why do you have a new spare kit lying around if you don't mind me asking?

6.) Best method of payment and is the kit immaculate?

I am going to sit tight for the right car, I might ask for a lift to a meet or something so I can decide between chilli and azure!

My insurance at 21 with 1 years ncb is going to be £1200 with mods, but I might buy the car early... which will be a named driver until I turn 21 ( may)

Don't worry, I have planned this for a while, I think I know what I am doing...

What about this one.....should I be cautious of the very high mileage? I don't it matter to me?

Are the rear canards the same thing as spats? (I see people refer to them as spats?)

These are the wheels that I wanted! I can wait though, I think my plan has changed now....

1.) Buy a red Zed for about £12500 with GT package and insure in Jan.

2.) Buy kit from ZMANALEX and hold it at my work warehouse

3.) Buy wheels

4.) Fit/paint kit + wheels

5.) The other mods (carbon bits, pop charger etc)

That's the order, now all I have to do is set up a wanted post and watch pistonheads like a hawk for a chilli red zed

I am in Oxford, everything is too dam expensive round here I am used to it

Does anyone have any rough figures for how much it would be approximately? Nismo wheels have gone up to £2000? or are they about to? I guess I will only be able to budget for rays then.

I am really tempted to buy a blank canvass and do the mods myself over a period of time...

So how much would that kit cost to fit and paint? how long does it take? I am slowly picking up the info from search, but it's a painstaking task! I presume that ESR would do the work? (Big phil?)

I am new, but looking for my perfect Zed

Ideal zed that I want to be driving is a red nismo kitted 350z GT pack with rays and a pop charger

I test drove a GT in azure blue (stock) and fell in love after originally looking for a lotus elise 111S. I drive a Golf, so as you can imagine my daily drive is boring despite the quality roads!

Budget for me is £15-6k with insurance, but I need to make a thread somewhere comparing buying a nismo kitted GT at £14,500 ish and insure it OR buy a standard GT at £13k + insurance and modify it up?

Where is best to ask this question? (E.g, how much would a nismo full kit and wheels cost to paint and fit approx?)
