  1. Hi Tricky,

them numbers where on the outside of the ECU on a sticker. Weird as all the ECU i have seen on Flea bay are black but mine is silver metallic does this make a difference? silly question i know

  2. Hi andlid,

I beleive it is the oil cooler connection, i need the plug and few inches of the wire that goes into the female plug in the pic! its on the black plastic front panel that sits right in front of the radiator. its for a 350z

  3. I bought a CKP Sensor from the dealer tried it on my car and it wouldnt fire up! cranked over but no start? Put my old one on with the problem and it started straight away??? Booked my car into the main dealer they too found this issue, the put my so called faulty Sensor and the new one i bought onto another car and it started fine with both??? so the sensor/s are fine so i lean towards dodgy Flywheel or ECU. Note the dealer did say they had trouble communicating to my car for some reason and it might be an import for this reason, but its a full uk spec vehicle???

  4. Just need a few ideas needed......

Original problem lack of power and Engine light on showing P0335-Crank Position Sensor. Now found out my sensor is in working order. maybe Flywheel defective warped or spinnning with a wobble? If so Crank Position Sensor may not be getting correct reading? or maybe ECU issue?

Is there anything else that can trigger P0335CKP sensor as it clearly not the sensor itself at fault? :bang:

Has anyone had this issue or similar? any fixes before I buy a new lightweight flywheel and ecu? :surrender:

  5. Further Info, when checking the CPS Sensor the garage looked at the clutch (new stage 2 comp type thingy) and flywheel (standard dual mass) we noticed play in the flywheel. it allowed a little movement/notch of about 1cm or so left to right clockwise motion, which is understandable as it would spin in this way. But when bolting the clutchplate back to the flywheel back to the engine with a pressure gun thing we noticed play from side to side! hard to explain.....with enough pressure it could be tilted or wobbled, if this makes sense? do flywheels allow any play in this way?

  6. Hi Mark,

Is there anyway to check my ECU with it still on the car? I have done the pedal dance and the engine light does go out but once the car has been re-started a few times it comes back on. Is the ECU/PCM located underneath the passengerside airbag area buy the cupholder/tray compartment?

Air Flow Meter? Is this the MAF Sensor? and if this was malfunctioning could it throw the codes im getting for the Crank Position Sensor? As there are no MAF codes desplayed?

Cheers Mark if i dont get it sorted in the next couple of weeks I'll send it up to you cheers.

Thanks for the help Guys

  7. Hi Abbey,

thanks for you reply, My problem isnt start related, it starts fine just really underpowered struggles to get over 3k revs and i dont dare push it to 60mph. Engine light and all ABS Traction lights on. Got the car on the diagnostic which pointed out:

    P0335 CKP Crank Position Sensor

C1130 Engine 1 Fuel Cut System Fault

C1103 R Front Wheel Sensor CircuitBrought new CPS sensor from the main dealer and the wheel ABS sensor changed! when fitted the car wouldnt fire up, cranking over but no start, put my old CPS and it started fine? I then thought the new CPS was faulty booked car into Nissan main dealer, they too had the same problem then put my faulty sensor and new sensor onto another vehicle and they both started on the other vehicle fine???.....However they did say they had trouble communicating with my car and it is an import, which it clearly isnt full uk spec with headlight washers.

So im stuck what to do next? Shall i buy a new flywheel incase that is defective? Is it my ECU/PCM not reading input correctly causing my issues :bang:

  8. Cheers Danny Boy

I aint the best at technical things! would the PCM deal with collating signals from sensors to determine speed i.e Cranks Position, Flywheel and ABS as i dont think mine is communicating properly :bang:

In this case I will need a UK DE Revup, Cruise control, manual............Oh my head, how much do these go for second hand? Wizard?

  9. Can someone please tell me what the PCM is? I this another reference for the ECU?

    Will a 350z coupe PCM/ECU work in a 350z roadster?

Will a 300bhp need the correct ECU? is it not compatible with say the 276bhp or 313bhp?

  10. Hi Guys,

I have been having a few issues with my Z, Had Engine Management light and all Traction control lights on too for a while now! car still drives but is seriously underpowered and really sluggish, struggles to get to 60mph and over 2-3k (revs) is scary.... When checked on Snap on Diagnostic machine threw a code of P0335 CKP Crank Position Sensor C1130 Engine 1 fuel cut system fault and C1103 R Front Wheel Sensor Circuit Open/Short. I have replaced the wheel ABS Sensor and Crank Position sensor but still doesnt solve my problems. When new CKP sensor fitted to my car it wouldnt start at all just kept on cranking but no fire up, placed my original on and it started fine??? Booked car at Nissan dealer, they too had the same problem, they then put my faulty CKP aswell as the new one i bought from the dealer sensor on another Z and they both worked fine???....WTF.........So now im wondering if it may be my ECU/PCM at fault as they did say they were having trouble communicating with my car and because of this my car is an import which it clearly isnt! Full uk spec 2007 roadster. I am now confused in what to do next? Buy a new flywheel? i already replaced clutch, gearbox fine. Or do I buy a second Hand ECU/PCM? Are these the same thing with just different names? and will it have to be specific for my vehicle e.g 2007 roadster 300bhp revup not the 313 twin induction? could i get away with say any 300bhp revup 2005-2006/7 and coupe please help this car is driving my insane :bang:

  11. Yeah the sensors are identical??? so confusing as the old sensor gives me lack of power and engine light cel which i think is throwing my traction/ABS and ESP lights too? Brand new sensor in and the car wont bloody turn over, which aint an issue with the old sensor? I have had the codes read before which pointed out a problem with Crank Position sensor which i now have this dilema with now??

    P0335 CKP Sensor Circuit Problem

C1130 Engine 1 Fuel Cut System Fault

    C1103 R Front Wheel Sensor Circuit Open/Short

  12. (UPDATE)

Well finally got my Crank Position Sensor from the dealer after waiting 4 weeks??.....

Got it fitted and guess what??? ..........Car wouldnt start WTF???

It would crank up but not turn over and start almost like there is no petrol?

Erased the code with the new Sensor still not starting! Put the old sensor back in and started straight away?

Im thinking now if maybe the new sensor from the Dealer is faulty?

Car is now driving with under half the power it should have and that damn engine light aaaaggghh!!!

Can someone please shed some light pleeeaaaseeee :bang:
