Oh great I thought I was being clever getting an 04
Read in evo a couple of months back that grey imports get round it as co2 is not part of the SVA thingy. Not that I can play this card
God dam I can't afford this kind of socialism... another thing while i'm on the soapbox, surely building a new car can't be greener than running an old one into the ground...

cheers guys, my counting was off... one elephant two elephant
Downloaded a stop watch for my nokia as mine doesn't have one as standard.. here it is if anyone needs one http://mosh.nokia.com/content/443925D50 ... 0A44303297

Managed to get a moment to to give her a clean. Only a quick polish mind, some claying and nxt
Was a little surprised to find the engine oil was very low... guessing these cars burn a little oil.
-
thanks guys, with the NVH issues are they bad with a single mass flywheel on these cars...
-
Ah ok, i think i was a bit misguided there and thought that included the cost of parts.
So these things crop up on ebay, i'll keep an eye out. Any one know of a uk website?
-
Just off the phone with Jap Performance up near Aberdeen.
Clutch/flywheel (which they recommend doing at the same time) is a 7 hour job, and they say you should change the engine oil. Quoted £438 all in!
Thanks ab350z, Do you know what flywheel and clutch they would use, as that doesn't look to bad to me
-
Hi Guys,
Been looking around the American sites for a lighten flywheel, yeah I know day two and i'm already putting a mod list together.
Would you anyone know what kind of costs I would be looking at to do the flywheel (and probably clutch, as i guess it would be rude not to)?
Is this something i should atempt my self if i got use of a ramp, or is it one of those not worth the headache jobs?
Cheers,
Gi

What are you using Stew? apart from time and effort

that'll all soon get upgraded soon!
Yeah, have wanted to get away from meg's, though the nxt wax + booster isn't bad... got turle wax ice at the lady's place as it is quick (well quicker than explaining 'why' to her) but it only lasts a few days
If I had the money and a garage I would definately go down the Zaino route... guess i'll keep dreaming

Is that the airbag bit your needing to find or am i off the mark?

Well here's a pic of the cleaning stuff
haha

Haha... yep no pic's yet. She's too dirty, fly guts all over the front plus it's raining outside. They will come though

Thanks for the big welcome guys, so it looks like there aren't any horror stories out there, which is good

Hi All,
Just picked up an 04 Blue zed, she has a few miles on the clock 56k and needs a bloody good clay bar to bring her back... but all in all very impressed, especially how flat she is round corners...
Been snooping around the site for a few days now, just reading up on the tips and tricks... must say it is a good site and that from what I can see zed ownership isn't that problematic.
Anyway babbling on there bit, just wanted to know what you guys fill up with and what kind of performance/economy differences do you notice?
I know this is a sort of loaded question as a few years ago I used to fill up my last jap car on Optimax/V-Power and on that car I did feel a difference, wondering if this engine will be the same....
So my next question is... if it has to be 98 or above what's the best bang for buck? I've never used supermarket fuel due to all the scare stories, but anyone tried the Tesco 99ron?
Cheers
