  1. The pictures have turned out really well Adam, thanks for posting them.

It was good to meet you guys, Sunday was a good day; really enjoyed the drive.

I don’t know if this is something you guys do but I'm thinking of doing a 'Hot Marques' track day at Knockhill on Saturday 19th July (If it's dry). Let me know if any of you guys are up for joining me.

  2. My front and rear brake pads need to be replaced, what are the best pads to go for? – I’m planning on doing a few track days but nothing too mental. Was thinking of getting some Mintex Fast Road pads or would I be best sticking with standard Nissan pads?

The car has 18 months warranty remaining, would this be affected by the non-Nissan pads?

I’ve been quoted £282 inc VAT to have the fronts and backs supplied and fitted by Nissan, how does this compare to what you guys have paid in the past?

For the pads alone, I’ve been quoted £200 inc. VAT from Nissan.

I’m gonna need a couple of rear tyres soon too, is there anywhere you know of that I can get a bit of a deal on these?

I’d appreciate your thoughts on the above.

    Thanks,

  3. Hi,

    Thought I'd say hello.

I bought a Dec'06 350Z GT on Sunday. It's black with black leather with Rays Alloys.

I've driven it around 400 miles so far and really enjoyed it. I've been pleasantly surprised by the average of 27mpg, admitedly this has been on the motorway the majority of the time but I have been booting it at every opportunity, so it's a nice surprise (Best achieved was 32mpg, Edinburgh to Glasgow in Rush hour yesterday) . How does that compare with the rest of you guys? - The reason I've made a point of this is simply because I knew I'd enjoy driving it but I had no idea that fuel economy would be so good, I'd expected 22-24mpg.

Enough of the boring stuff, I've found the car to be excellent in every way; very well put together, quick, comfortable and with the Bose cranked up is like being in a nightclub. Sweet.

The more I look at the car the more I like the look of it; all in all I'm delighted with my new toy.

Thanks to everyone who replied about the servicing in Glasgow/Edinburgh.

  4. I'll give Parks in Coatbridge guys a bash and see how the service goes, it's booked in for tomorrow.

I've not had a Japanese car for over 3 years but I've previously had a couple of FTOs and a Civic and always went to Hypertech in Bonnybridge who always provided a great service.

I'll be going there again for servicing after the warranty expires on my 350z. I don't think getting the car serviced at an independent has any adverse affect on the warranty but if something does go wrong I reckon there will be less complaints if the service book is fully stamped by Nissan.

Thanks for the offer of joining you guys for your meet at the end of June, I think I'll be away for the weekend about then so I don't reckon I'll be able to make it. Do you ever do Track days? - Are there any designated 350Z days anywhere?

My 350Z is a black GT with Rays, Registered Dec 2006, 19,500 miles. It's in superb condition and so far I'm really chuffed with it. Goes very well.

  5. I bought my 350Z yesterday and it needs its second service (P2), can anyone recommend a good place to get it serviced in Edinburgh or Glasgow (Or anywhere else in between).

Alternatively; if you know of anywhere I should avoid please let me know.

Also, how much should I expect to pay for a P2 service?

    Many thanks,

    G
