Have you tried a semi-abrasive scratch removal product? 9/10 times it is rub off from the other car and may not have done damage, try some t-cut scratch remover or similar and rub rub rub untilthe scratch has gone? Just a suggestion as without seeing it, can't be sure...

I have had my 350z for 2 weeks now... only 18k on the clock, they seem to be pretty clunky cars and you can sometimes hear the gear engagement and clutch bearing as you mentioned... I have found some relief in reading your comments as it sounds like you are describing my car! lol
