Quotes?

Every time I try and include a quote in my posts, I click the open quote button, copy and paste the text from the post I'm quoting, then click the close quote button. Here's the problem, my subsequent post doesnt show who it is I'm quoting, only the text in the box-out. How do I show who it is I'm quoting? please tell me it's not just as simple as typing their name above in bold font

press the quote button first then a new post will open with all the quote stuff there ready

Press 'quote' and then begin typing underneath the quote.
