car splutters at 4500rpm

Ok so recently chnged clutch in my z since putting everything back together and I have doubled checked its all correct. My z will now at around 4500 rpm sputter the car will shudder and then lose revs. Any suggestions what could cause this to happen it worked fine before I changed the clutch

Every time, every gear, every speed, every throttle position?

Yes basically engine will choke once in 4th and struggles to gain speed

Remind me what speed 4th at 4500rpm is? Not trying to start an argument over speeding, just trying to work something out.

 

What intake are you running? Any codes? Cleaned MAF recently?

Ha well what I mean is if I take it slow up to 4th then put my foot down the engine will choke like its starved and judder like as if trying to get up a very steep hill in an old fiesta

So 4th at any rpm then, not just 4500?

Hey thought id update you guys so after taking the intake apart noticed one of the clips had not quite csught the metal on one side so after repositioning the clip and tightened started it with no problems. Took it for a auick test drive and no problems thankfully
