oldbonesmcgee Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Hi All, Apologies first if this is in the wrong section. The alarm on my 370z has never gone off and I have read they are quite sensitive. To test it I locked my girlfriend in the car and then got her to move around and wave in front of the sensors, the alarm didn't go off. I've locked the car with the window down and waved my hand inside and no luck either. So before I try the brick test does anyone have any suggestions for testing the alarm? Any definite things that ALWAYS set the alarm off. Cheers, Dan Quote
Wayne370Z Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Never had any problems or activations with mine but then never tried testing it either. There is a switch behind the passenger seat which isolates the interior sensors but I think it reactivates automatically each time but might be worth checking. alroma Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Personally, I don't think your girlfriend was trying hard enough , but if she'd opened the doors from the inside or released the bonnet catch, that should've done it; according to the manual anyway. Quote
