Bonnet Struts

Stu had a similar problem with his. It was only when I tried another set, then removed them altogether, we found it was actually his bonnet/hinges that were the issue and not the dampers.

 

Try your bonnet without them connected.

 

I'll have a go at that when I can, but I can remember lifting the bonnet up and down freely before I fitted the dampers.

Help! Just installed the bonnet struts and they are so stiff my lid won't even close. Just hangs open. Anyone else had this or know how to fix it?

 

Just out of interest, pm me the supplier of your struts. It could be a bad batch issue, if we got from the same place. Perhaps best not divulge on here where they are from, as it's not the traders fault.
