How do I install a new stereo?

I have the service manual but which part should I be looking at as a guide to install a new head unit?

 

The manual has about 20 pdf's that are all abbreviated....which one?

Right I've manage to get the centre panel off (thanks Gixxeruk). Now the wiring connector is different at the back but I reckon I'll get something from Halfords tomorow (I hope). The thing that concerns me is the head unit won't fit in to the metal cradle and I don't think the fascia panel is going to fit either. Is there some after market part I can buy and from where?

 

I seen this but I don't know if this will do. What do you think?
