Removed
http://www.autocarmagazine.com/news_art ... _id=218805 "This – the LP640 – is the most extreme version of the Murciélago ever, and the fastest car Lamborghini has ever made. The V12 has been stretched to 6.5 litres and propels the Murciélago to 62mph in 3.4 seconds. Said to be on sale in the UK this spring, this evolution takes the Murciélago into Ferrari Enzo territory on speed and power. The ‘LP’ apparently stands for ‘longitudinale posteriore’, meaning that the engine is (still) longitudinally mounted at the rear. The 640 you may have guessed already – the car’s bhp total. This figure is achieved at 8000rpm and is a 60bhp hike over the standard Murciélago. Torque has also increased, to 487lb ft. The six-speed gearbox has received some attention and the LP640 can also come with the E-gear paddle shift. The latter allows the car’s ferocious progress to 62mph as it incorporates a new launch control device - ‘Thrust’. The revised V12 is the stormy heart of this car and you can order a glass cover to show it off, should you so desire. An option for the other end of the dynamic scale is the 380mm carbon ceramic brakes that come with six-piston calipers. The suspension has seen myriad detail changes and the alterations to the bodywork seen in these photographs should help keep the Murciélago on the ground above 200mph. The interior has also received some attention, with more comfortable seats and a new sound system that can cope with DVDs and MP3s. The car is to be shown at Geneva, where it will find itself amidst a slew of supercars from Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Pagani and Porsche."
