Question ref KH3 (Kuro Black)

Quick bit of clarification needed before I dive in with the paintshop. Car is a 2005 (Dec) 350Z UK Manual (pre-facelift). On the VIN Plate, paint code shows as "KH3 R"

 

Is the "R" at the end of any significance? it was spaced away from the KHR as shown in the first line.
