Exhaust problem

Hello all,

I need help again!

My exhaust has been making a bit of noise lately so had a look yesterday, I think there is a small hole on top of the pipe so have filled with Holts Gun Gum, this should fix that problem.

It is also leaking fluid (I guess water) from the joint on the pipe near the main back box (I took a picture but its too big to attach and my computer skills are somewhat lacking).

I have covered this in Gun Gum as well and hope this will do the trick.

But, does anyone know what might be causing this, is it indicative of a bigger problem? Wife is on maternity leave so could really do without this getting expensive!!

Thanks as always.

Peter

The fluid is condensation which forms when the hot exhaust cools, plus the cooling of the air most places get at night. It's just trying to get out and is choosing the places where the exhaust seems to be corroding/failing. Short term you should look to get these bits welded up. Longer term you're looking at a new exhaust.
