A friend of mine wants to know

 

With a full exhaust including headers an induction kit, new plenum, no cat and a ecu remap what kind of power will he be looking at??

 

I know its a gay question but i didnt want to have a stab in the dark[ueerr :D ]

But I would be careful running with no cats & straight through exhaust on a NA car, may lose some back pressure/torue & low down revs, how that may equate on a rolling road you'l have to see.

20Hp tops IMO :)

 

Hp/£ is gonna be mega also - replacing exhaust manifold is a long job, rempas are not cheapo either and once done, you're locked in

Personally i would just get high flow cats, they are just as good performance wise as de-catting, plus you keep some low down torque. it also wont fail an mot.

Although i think he wont be happy as I think he said TDi claimed a 40bhp rise with just an exhaust and remap.
