At least by having a bit of a test drive at a dealer you've got an idea of what to expect. I've had my '04 GT for just under two years and still get a buzz every time I open the door an drive off. The only problem I've had is a knackered O/S window motor which was fixed under warranty(and is a common problem), other than that and a side light bulb blowing it has gone straight through its MOT's and is a joy to drive.
