Quick and easy Sat Nav / Phone holder

Personally I hate sticking my sat nav on the screen , always looking for a neater solution. Post "Bose Hack" I had put a mount inside the chubby box but think I have found a neater solution

 

I bought this item on ebay -230845694977, cost was £6.99 , its made of that flexible PU rubber so will stick a little , but the option to double sided tape it down is always there

 

I removed the old rubber mat and used it as a pattern to cut this new mount to suit, its a easy job with a pair of decent scissors or sharp knife, I have angled it slightly to point towards the driver.

 

Job done, it will take my phone , ipod or sat nav and the lid can be closed so a stealthy alternative to those give away rings on the windscreen.

Can you use it with the case on the phone, is it adjustable enough for the IPhone 5. Thanks.

My Galaxy s4 fits in there in a humungous otterbox case which is 80mmx150mm so I expect so , it is a bit snug though
