Going to USA,- zed shopping?

Off to Florida in September & thinking of buying a front spoiler/lip & maybe some High Flow cats.

 

Firstly does anyone know if there are any good places in Florida to buy parts for the zed (may have to post on 350z-tech about this one)

& more importantly will I have to pay any duty/tax if I bring them back on the plane with me. (also have to consider weight allowances etc)

Not sure about places near florida,

 

But you will have to pay duty on them, unless you go through the nothing to declare route! But depending on how big the boxes are then you pretty much stuffed there......

 

Also, they would expect to see the receipts so you got no chance of any enron type accounting on the full value

 

You'd have to weigh up cost of full duty on something (assuming you can get on the plane) versus getting the traders to ship on your behalf and agree on value?

I'm off over there in August and have the same idea.

I've found a few places that might be worth a visit.

 

Performance Factory. http://www.performancefactory.com/main.html

This is located on the Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. They do quite a few tuning bits but not much else. I contacted a guy who works there via my350z.com. He's part of the local Orlando 350z owners club. Apparently they have regular meets.

 

RZ Motoring. http://www.rzmotoring.com/

Located in Orlando and Tampa. Specialise in tuning and bodykits for various cars. They do have some nice bits for the 350z apparently.

 

Zenclosures. http://stores.ebay.com/ZEnclosures

Located in Sarasota. Only really worth a visit if you are after sub enclosurs or door speaker pods.

 

I'm sure I've seen many other tuning specialists while in Orlando and Tampa before, but these are the only ones that I know of that specialise in 350z's.

I am in fact going to Orlando & Miami & will definetley try & check out those stores. Also will findout from the Orlando 350z club (I also read about them on 350z-tech) if they will be having any meets around that time, might go & take some pics etc
