Jared350z Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I have a JDM import 350z and I have the jap screen/nav unit in the cubby hole. I want a gps unit in there so I'm gonna take that one out and put another one in to replace and that it will work in the uk. My main question is can I use my car speakers for both units, as I already have the bottom unit to play my music and radio but if I put the new NAV/DVD unit in can I run that trough the same speakers?? I really dont know and dont wanna start splicing into them if its gonna mess with it. Quote
flamez Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) The sat nav runs into the stereo so it wont be easy or feasible imo. I think you're better off leaving the top cubby and just swapping out the bottom for all in one unit will be better anyway. I picked up a good deal on a pioneer with sat nav and phone integration. spursmaddave Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 You could put the satnav audio into the aux in but then you would have satnav or music, I assume you want both? Just rig up a seperate speaker to the nav and fit it behind the dash thats what I did 2 Quote
flamez Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I might try that as well, which wires feed the speaker and where behind the dash did you fit it? Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Mine was a 7" satnav so it aleady had a small speaker, I just fitted a bigger one Quote
jordster Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 OMG where did you get that carbon dash from? mine is scratched to hell!! Quote
