paulashy Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Just bought this headunit had a quick look to fit and at a glance it looks like I have 3 plugs for one socket. Do I need to buy a separate wiring loom from somewhere? Also has anyone got a picture of the smallest socket in the dash I took the plug end off and think I have mixed the wires up when putting back together Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Yes, you need a 350Z to ISO loom, make sure you get the correct one as there are different ones for Bose and non-Bose. http://incartec.co.uk/pages/Product.aspx?P=3022 Edited July 31, 2013 by BulletMagnet Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Edited my post with a link. Best call Incartec to make sure, got mine from them and they are friendly and helpful. Also you may need the extra loom for steering wheel controls. Hope this helps Quote
paulashy Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Have just ordered now thanks, any idea where there may be a picture of the origional wires to check I put them back properly Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Does this help? http://kennydomain.co.uk/html/nissan_350z_bose_audio_4.html Quote
paulashy Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 It would if I understood it haha, I have attached a picture of the plug I mean if that helps at all http://s1330.photobucket.com/user/paulashy/library/?sort=3&page=1 Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Without looking in my own dash, I'd say that's the steering wheel controls Quote
paulashy Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Ah right, do I need to connect that if I'm not using the steering wheel controls? Sorry for all the questions not clued up on electrical stuff Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Does your steering wheel have buttons? If you don't really use them, then don't connect them, up to you really Quote
paulashy Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Yeah it does but looked into the wiring hardness and how to do it and cutting a soldering wires was part of it. If I was to the the one if incartech is it just a case of pluging in the sockets? Quote
BulletMagnet Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Give them a ring, because they continually update their bits. They'll be in a better position to answer your queries. When I ordered my wiring harness and steering wheel loom, they had just released an updated SW loom and supplied me the new one. Quote
paulashy Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Will ring today cheers for your help Quote

paulashy Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Yeah connected that to the pioneer harness but still all sound seems to be sleeping Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 If it fires up, everything works but no sound then im 99% sure it will be the amp on wire Quote
paulashy Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 I have concerted it to the blue wire coming from the pioneer harness which says syten remote Quote
