Air Filter Sensor Question - Warning Stupid Question Alert

Hopefully someone can come along and answer this question fairly straight forward.

 

I am looking into possibly purchasing a new induction kit for the zed, however whilst looking at the standard unit there appears to be a sensor just after the air box.

 

So my question is what happens to this sensor when I fit an aftermarket induction kit, as many that I have seen don't seem to have a mounting point for the sensor?

You mean the MAF sensor? Think after markets have a slot for it

The intake system consists of 3 main parts, the airbox, a short plastic pipe with the MAF sensor attached and then a long intake tube to the throttle body. I think most aftermarkets keep the short plastic pipe with the MAF sensor attached and just replace the airbox itself (the pop charger certainly does that), and then aftermarket intake pipes replace the bit from the back of the MAF sensor to the throttle body.

The Takeda kit I have fitted has slots for the MAF sensors to bit fitted.

Just remove from the stock pipe and screw onto the replacement.
