Alpine iXA-W407BT Adding Reverse Camera

Hi Guys,

 

Just purchased my first 350z and its got the above a Alpine iXA-W407BT headunit and I want to add a reverse camera. I did search the forum but couldn't find anything on this model. From a quick google i have found an alpine camera unit that will fit and work with this very well but my questions are:

 

Has anyone used this alpine reverse camera if so are they any good?

Do i have any other options such as a £30 camera on fleabay from asia

Do you know if the camera will auto come on when in reverse?

Yes the ebay versions are fine, i have an Alpine, will check model number tomorrow but that looks very familiar and it will come on if you select reverse and the aux input.

Don't buy the expensive alpine one, the eBay rear numberplate light camera is pretty good and easy to wire in to the reverse light so it come on automatically

Sorry, should have made that clear. I have a cheap ebay camera and it's been fine for well over a year.
