Help with new install

I am in the middle of installing my Appradio 2. I have the correct steering harness etc.. as shown in the guide, but I am only getting sound out of the front speakers and the sub. I can switch the leads round and get sound from the rear speakers and sub, but not all 4 speakers and the sub. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

 

BTW - I have left all the Bose stuff in the car, it's just the head unit I am swapping.

How many RCAs does the App radio 2 have?

 

You need front L&R rear L&R and a sub output ideally.

It has 2 pairs of RCA outs.

Maybe look at the settings on the actual unit, it might be set for just front & sub not front/rear& sub

The ICT leads have 4 RCA plugs. A red, white, black and yellow.

On the back of my new HU there are only 2 red and 2 white. Which are (according to the HU wiring diagram) 'Front/subwoofer output RCA connectors.

 

I will double check the manual.

Try the red/white and yellow/black rcas into the4 outputs, if you get all 4 speakers but no sub then you just need to splice the sub in

As you correctly guessed, the Appradio needed setting up correctly.

It is a burden being right all the time, but I'm taking it a day at a time

 

Glad you got it sorred, all you need now are some decent speakers, a decent sub, some decent amp.....
