Red or Green wire?!?

Hey guys and girls couldn't find any information on the forum but i cut the wire right at the door speaker and was left to guess wether red or green was positive... iv connected red as positive but the bass doesnt sound right, either that or im just not used to the sound from the speaker, bass just seems held back but vocals sound clear. Please shed some light someone?

its ok i just did battery test! Green is Positive,Red is negative! Now to remove the doorcards etc all over again.
