Sat Nav Head Unit up-grade

Hi Guys

I've decided to rip out my old Birdview & replace with a H/U with sat nav I've been told that this won't fit in my sat nav cubby hole can anyone recomend one that might if not I may go the whole HOG & go for a complete new set up ( speakers/amp/head unit ) any ideas

Dave what sat nav ( & size as it looks a good fit ) did you install & how do you power it as I don't want a lead running down the front of the dash into the power socket as I do a few runs to Scotland every year & the inbuilt battery in my current Garmin only lasts half way unless I plug into the fag lighter :thumbs:

It's a Navman panoramic 7" screen so exactly the same as OEM stripped off the case, wired the on off button up to an external switch and hard wired it to the cigarette lighter in the passenger footwell so no wires. It was a bit quiet to so i fitted a speaker to it :lol:
