Car for sale (276 type) in the pics seems to have a pod-type filter at the end of the normal intake instead of the OE box and panel filter. Any issues with these on a 350, good/bad brands or things to look for? Also any other bad mods to check for? Cheers - thanks in advance! Quote
OllyB Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 My initial question would be what brand is it? Cheap filters = poor filtration. There's no issue with fitting a filter in place of the air box, on a dyno you would probably find it will have lost you some power? Quote
M13KYF Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 CAI intakes are more for sound than anything else. Best in terms of performance is OEM 06 onwards airfilter panel box with a upgraded panel filter like a K&N Quote
MidnightRacer Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Sounds more like a WAI (warm air intake) rather than a CAI to me! if its the former, sounds cool, costs you HP and liable to heat soak in traffic. if its the latter then it should be fine.... Quote
