Hi guys

 

Anyone with any thoughts or experiences regarding the 4.2 v8 quattro S5?

 

Ive read a bit about the issues with the fuel injection system and carbon, but as a complete numpty where engines are concerned i'm not sure of the real implications?

 

As usual, I know some of you regular forum genius types will be happy to offer your opinions.

As a DFi application, you will always get more carbon build up in the combustion chamber than a non-DFi one, and by all accounts the Audi lump is quite bad for this. That said, I suspect there's a lot of specialists out there now that can take care of this for you, albeit I doubt it's cheap. Plenty of 10K Boost will help prevent this though.

 

You're more likely to come up against more usual running costs though: Check costs of brake discs and dampers.
