stuey Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 i have resized a pic for an avatar and its 100 x 100 pixels but how do you get the kb down to 6.......... Quote
Chesterfield Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Is it a jpg? Some packages allow you to choose the quality of the jpg file, lowering to 8 will reduce the quality slightly, but hardly noticeable, especially in a 100x100 file, but it reduces the image size (in kb) dramatically. Can you attach it to a post and we can see what can be done? Quote
Ian Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ySetup.exe Download & install this, all you do then is right click and resize image Quote
rmmackfc Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Photoshop allows has an option of "save as web file"... that's what I use Quote
M13KYF Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 save it as a gif file and all the problems will be solved. With a gif file you can control the number of colours within the image. This way you can decrease the size of the image in KB terms Quote
