s1xtyn1n3 Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 I had a pretty useful guide that I got from somewhere here and it looked OK (even if I have temporarily lost it!), but I've not replaced pads before. I'm tempted to do it myself however as Nissan want £166 for the fronts and I can get EBC Yellows for £68 on ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EBC-YELLOWSTUFF-FRONT-BRAKE-PADS-NISSAN-350Z-3-5-BREMBO-/230248376404#rpdId) How easy would you say it is to do and do I need a caliper rewind tool? evilscorp Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 easy, two bolts to loosen and two pins to remove! i used a small vice and some wood to push the piston back.also a little copper greese for the back of the pads,job done! Daryl Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 Never tried Yellow Stuff pads, always has Ferodo DS2500,but its an easy job to do. Takes longer to get the wheel off and on than it does to change the pads. Just take your time the first time you do it. You will need a small pin punch or similar to push the retaining pin out the caliper,as they can sometimes get stuck with all the gunk that gets around them. When you put the pins back in,give them a quick rub with some abrasive paper,and smear with copper slip,this helps the next time you replace them.
