350z bumping noise

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help with a problem that's recently developed on my 350Z

I am getting a bumping/thudding noise whilst driving. The sound is present when going straight forward and when turning right at speeds of approximately 20mph and above. The noise disappears when turning left.

The noise sounds like its from the front and possibly more on the passenger side but its hard to tell when driving.

The sounds frequency increases with speed and become louder the more I turn to the right.

I have not yet looked under the car but I will be doing an oil change at the weekend and looking at this issue. I wanted to get some advice beforehand as to what the problem might be.

Many Thanks.

Is it a metallic thumping or otherwise? May pay to check your tyres too, make sure one isn't delaminating. Disturbing noises should always be checked out as soon as possible. Say it is a tyre or something else and it goes, at speed................. :scare:

Its not metallic, It sounds more like a stone in the tyre, i have checked the tyres are they all look fine though. Its a dull thudding sound.

I have just recently had the front tyres changed in September and the rears in august. Could this possibly be a wheel out of balance or a tracking issue? I would say the car steers very very slightly to the left if I take my hand off the wheel, but this could just be road camber?

Thanks Again.

ive not jacked it up to check the tyres. The tyres were new on last month and the noise was there before they where changed. I was hoping that changing the tyres would cure the problem. Could it possibly be a buckled rim?

I called STS and asked them about it, but they said it was a drive shaft problem and that I should take it to a garage. I cant see how its a drive shaft problem as its RW drive and the noise is from the front. but the guy on the phone didn't ask what car it was so i guess he just assumed it was FW drive.

The car is booked in for a garage to look at it on the 19th as i'm getting bored of listening the the thumping noise =/
