Japspeed K2 or Scorpion

Hi,

For the last year or so Ive been running an ESR K1, after numerous complaints from the neighbours and the fact Im actually using my car (skyline 350gt) now its time for a change.

 

Id like a quieter system so looking at the K2 or Scorpion if anyone has one theyd like to sell

A couple of people have had issues with fitment of the Japspeed exhausts,Scorpion ones appear to be better built and fitment is alot more consistent

i have a Scorpion exhaust and I love it - not too loud, even with your foot down. gives off a really nice sound

Good to know Dave, I need to move away from the loudness of the k1 haha

I also have Scorpion,and sound is fantastic. Dont come up 2nd hand that often,as they are so good,but you may get lucky.

I do 2/3 gears through tunnels,windows down.

So is the sound when idle comparable to OEM? Ive watched plenty of youtube vids for the k2 which seems acceptable bar fitment issues....mainly just need to tone down the noise/boom/hells gates opening of my k1 with a more sensible choice

The scorpion is a little deeper than standard,and a touch louder,but is nothing like your K1.

Its a nice clear sound. Where abouts are you based? Maybe a member could let you have a listen before you buy.

Read through plenty of threads comparing the merits of both and from what I can tell via youtube vids its a far more subtle growl than the boom of the k1
