Resonator tube?? On a 03 JDM

Hi Folks,

 

I assume the stupid little tube that comes off the air intake on a JDM is a resonator for limiting noise over In rising sun land?

 

If so can I just get rid and blank off the orifice on the air intake.. I've got a lovely little bung going spare from a maserator which will cap it off nicely..

 

I'm assuming it won't cause the maf any issues? Just make it a little more throaty like all the uk Zeds?

You can use your bung in the knowledge that it will cause no harm

That cossie Filter has just gone in and so has a bigger velocity stack and just thought while I'm at it. Why not
