DaJimstar Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Hi, I was wonderig what u good folks reccomend as performance upgrades, i have the car currently totally standard. I love it.. I appear to clean it everyday. I need to get better tyres, I have scwhin on 3 and one random tyre and they are rubbish in the wet. I have a 313 and there is a slight rattle in idol from the clucth and fly wheel and I feel maybe this is what I can look at 1st? 1. stubby (surely adds 1mph ) 2. ? 3. ? CrustyCrab Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Depends on what you are moding it for; looks, performance, sound etc. I went for function over form to start with as cosmetics are expensive for no performance gain. Other than cheap bits like a stubby. Or free things like removing my rear wiper arm. What do you want to get out of it and how much money have you got burning your pockets? DaJimstar Posted July 1, 2012 Author Share Posted July 1, 2012 That slight 'rattle' may infact be an already upgraded clutch and fly...what is its history? guy i bought it off said it had no upgrades, but lockwood and greenwood said it sounded like one, it could be.. but the clutch has a sponge like click around downwards pressure 50% of travel.. so i am guessing at some point i will have to replace clutch and was just thinking of doing flywheel, bearings etc whilst i am there how much do i have to spend, currently about 1k maybe more but i am trying to be strict for now, and yeah i genuinely do not care currently about looks, its looks lovely its a nice 313 z so in performance i mean cooling, handling, drive, mpg ( ), re-mapping? i have recently had new brakes so will wait until next year before putting some dba track brakes on it tyres i have 600 but thats a seperate budget its in my essentials Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
