Dakkon Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Morning, I have been searching through the threads about brakes but I was wondering if there was any definative advice. I do two or three trackdays a year and since going to the 'Ring last year fully intend on going again this year. However, my steed has changed and I now own a shiny Zed. Can I just upgrade pads and fluid to cope with the Zed's weight or do they need a full big brake upgrade. I am hoping that I can be pointed toward some decent pads as I don't think I do enough trackdays to warrant the expense of a big brake conversion but I would welcome thoughts from any who have tracked their Zed's. My main concern is being half way round the ring and running out of brakes as its a long way to nurse a car round. Quote
Removed Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Motul RBF600 fluid (no risk of it boiling), stainless steel brake lines, pads. (DS2500, Redstuff, Endless, Project Mu are all good stuff) Then if you want to do a little overkill, 2 piece disks. IMO the 4 pots Brembo calipers are plenty good for a few track days in a year.
