sensor on windscreen by rear view mirror

Can anyone tell me what this sensor is for?

 

I thought maybe automatic lights or wipers but as far as i know i dont have either.

 

Is the wiring and sensor put in all cars and they just havent put the switches in?

If you mean the rectangular box then it's the phone antenna

antenna is no longer used with bluetooth, it was for the old cradles but the mic is
