Wiper arms rubbing against the window.

I am having problems with my wiper arms rubbing against the window which causes a horrible screaching sound every time i turn them on.

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

 

I have recently had the arms resprayed so i am unsure if they have been broken when they were taken off.

 

I have also had three sets of wiper blades so i doubt its being caused by wearing the wrong sized blades.

 

I have had it into Nissan and they reckon it needs new spools, but they want £180.

I think your wiper arms are on the wrong way round. Try swapping them over

 

When I had my windscreen replaced I had the same thing
