How do you fix a rip in your head lining?

Long story short, I ripped (pretty big) the head lining in the BMW :headhurt:

Not ripped out, not put a hole in, a big zig-zag rip....

Replacement lead liners are looking VERY pricey

Anyone know if a "fix" is possible? :console:

If its affected the shape then steam helps but some clever dash repair people can do smart repairs with the headlining in situe. If it is really that bad then a retrim like Chris said. Howecer if you use a nice Alcantara then when you come to sell questions could be asked it it doesnt have an oem look to it

Spoke to MidlandMars who did my leather seats and they say they can probably do it... will be about £40 and won't be invisible.

It is right next to the boot, so not exactly in plain view.

Will get some pics tonight.... but I think I will go for a temp repair first and if it annoys Tam or looks awful I will look into getting it replaced/re-covered completely.

Been thinking about replacing her whole interior to be honest... Get her an electric setup rather than the standard one she has now.

Gotta stop spending cash on the Zed first
