Dreaded passenger window motor problem

Finally dropped the car off today to get it sorted.

 

I've been avoiding using the window for a month or so it was about time

 

Fingers crossed the damage won't be too severe.

Usually quite an easy, free fix. Should be fine!

 

Who's fixing it for you? Why didn't you have a good with the fix it yourself guide?

Lockwood and Greenwood are having a look at the moment.

 

I saw the guides but I'd rather someone else does it. I seem to be able to take stuff apart OK. It's just getting them all back together which causes me problems

 

I've got a warranty from when I bought the car which will cover some of the cost too.

Just caught up with the garage and as I suspected, the window motor has given up.

 

I'll buy the part (80731CD00A) and get L&G to fit it.

Yeah that was mine! I wasn't about then though - dropped it off at 8am and picked it up at 6pm.

 

I've had an offer from a forum member who says he'll do it for £60... tempting.
