varley16 Posted April 23, 2011 Share Posted April 23, 2011 i want to start getting one together, but i want satnav on it, internet, on screen rpm,mph, temp etc, ipod adapter, bluetooth, basically everythin, not sure how good internet will b with a dongle. anyway, im trying to get a parts list together, any ideas. ive had a search around, and know what roughly is needed.maybe a sticky of info with all parts required? so far the obvious: 7" touch screen. case motherboard, cpu, ram, graphics/sound cards. dongle sat nav software also, i want it to play sound through car speakers, i have a bose system, how can i get it to play through car speakers? sorry if there is actually a list thanks. ma'z'y Posted April 23, 2011 Share Posted April 23, 2011 U could always do what I did: *LCD in the cubby (hidden with lid closed). *Connect Iphone (jailbroken) to LCD and HU. *Run all wires behind centre console down to coin tray, which is now my iphone dock. *Add a bluetooth keyboard and you'v got the world at your fingertips. Iv also got tom tom running on there and a few other "car apps" which show speed ect., ill be purchasing the latest wireless kiwi obd2 when prices come down a bit which will stream the cars sensor info right to my LCD via Iphone.
