Hi guys.

Fitted my new headunit yesterday. Ever since, every time i brake, i get a clicking noise through the speakers.

Does anyone know what caused this or how to fix it?

I remember reading a thread on here where someone had the same problem, but can't seem to find it now.

Cheers in advance

I would be interested to know if you found out what was causing this problem as I have exactly the same issue.

I fitted a new head unit at the weekend and everything seemed okay for the first couple of days but the clikcing noise started yesterday. Oddly enough it only seems to be from the pasenger side speaker.

When I fitted the new head unit I earthed the loom to a point by the gearlever. Should I have earthed it to somewhere else and should I earth the head unit chassis itself as well as the wires in the loom?

I intend to take the centre console and head unit apart over the weenend to make sure that nothing has become disconnected or is touching against something that it shouldn't be.

Just realised the earth point i was changing was the Bird view nav :(

The only ground for the HU just goes into the Nissan wiring loom. Do i need to add another one?

Checked over the HU again today and created some external grounds. Checked all the wiring and it seems to still be making the same clicking noise no matter what i do.

Might be something to do with the amp as that located near the rear brake lights i suppose. Will check over when i have chance and update.

Any comments welcome!

I fixed the problem!!! I used Busters guide and hardwired the speaker cables instead of the RCA's.

Its now a lot louder and no more clicks :D

I am so bloody happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
